I have always had a passion for makeup. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always amazed at how my mom and my Maita (grandmother) used to put makeup on. I loved going to Sunday family lunches because my Maita would always let me play with her makeup!
In high school & college (I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications & Media Studies), I was asked to do makeup for school plays, our college TV & movie shoots and cheer dancing competitions. When I graduated, I decided to take the corporate route. I did Special Events for a real estate company, then became a Fashion Editor for a wedding and parenting magazine. After the magazine stint, I was back to real estate and did Commercial Leasing and Marketing, which was beyond stressful. After 2 years, I then joined a friend and helped him out with his restaurant/bar chain.
While all of those jobs were amazing, makeup was always a part of my life. I would hardly ever be caught dead without makeup on and would still be asked to put makeup on friends and co-workers. Makeup kept calling.
After almost 8 years of being in the corporate world and with the support of my family and friends, I decided it was about time that I took that leap of faith and do makeup professionally! I had some makeup artist friends who helped me out. They each taught me and helped sharpen my skills. I also took some specialty classes in KBS and Ms. Imee Sitchon.
What makeup do I use? I use only the best! I only use makeup that I would use myself. Some of the brands I use are MAC, NARS, Temptu, Anastasia of Beverly Hills and Makeup Forever. I use HD and airbrush makeup, no matter what, so there is no additional cost for this.
A southern belle for over 30 years, who was once trapped in the corporate jungle, decided that being a wife and an artist was more important than a 9-5 stable job. Now doing makeup full time, I have done shoots for magazines, weddings, special photo shoots, proms, a movie and my favorite client, my mom!
